I have always claimed that the path to one's own identity can be found through creative expression. I said that creativity along with storytelling has been adopted by the digital era. We are now allowed to collaborate and share ideas globally in a short matter of time. If you ever feel the inspiration to write please visit the blog and post your writing. How will stories be told in the next thirty years?
ReplyDeleteWith all the technology around us you never know what will happen to story telling, but I love telling stories and hearing them. So I hope that people are still telling stories by word of mouth or from books, not just from the internet or movies.
ReplyDeleteI don't think books will be going anywhere, it's how people get a break from all of the new technology. There's just something about sitting by the fire with a good book... it's not the same sitting with your lap-top reading.

ReplyDeleteBooks are not going anywhere in my opinion. The printing press, enabling books to be mass produced, was, by far, the greatest invention ever. Even though now we have the almost instantaneous satisfaction of e-books at our finger tips, people, I think, still prefer books. I know I do. Books are mini escape pods from the world. Stories told by word of mouth are good too. I can sit for hours with a book in hand. That is not so with a computer. In thirty years I will still be buying books and telling stories. Technology will not change that.
ReplyDeleteIn the future i hope that original ways of storytelling will be kept, like plays or books. I think new and exciting ways will also be invented however. Maybe they'll find a way to tell stories through smell or taste. Maybe we will watch movies projected in mist or maybe one day robots will tell children bedtime stories. Who knows, we will have to wait and find out!
ReplyDeleteIn the next thirty years, I hope story's are told how they are today. With books, plays and passed down by people. I hope it stays this way because it's much more special then reading something online.
ReplyDeleteI hope books are still going to be bought. Hopefully all books will not be on ipods. Books are great to read and hearing stories from other people is fun.
